RESIDENTS of Lydbrook are being invited to a new Warm Welcome Space launching at Lydbrook Baptist Church.

The initiative, part of a nationwide campaign, will officially open on Thursday, March 13, at 10AM and will be available every Thursday from 10AM to 12PM.

Visitors can enjoy a hot drink, biscuits, and activities such as jigsaw puzzles, knitting, crochet, and mindfulness colouring, all in a welcoming environment.

Last winter, Warm Welcome Spaces across the UK hosted two million visits, offering vital support against social isolation and loneliness.

A spokesperson for the church said: “We want everyone to find a place of belonging in their community this winter. Our space is open and ready to give you a very Warm Welcome.”
