THE founder of a Gloucestershire HR consultancy has been awarded ‘HR Professional of the Year’ at a prominent international awards event.

Kelly Tucker, founder and Managing Director of HR Star, recently received the prestigious accolade at the 2025 HR Brilliance Awards, acknowledged for her ‘innovative strategies’ and ‘deep understanding of people’.

The award follows October’s triumph for Kelly, who was also named ‘Best Businesswomen 2024’ at the Best Businesswomen Awards.

Kelly Tucker said: “I’m incredibly proud to be recognised among such inspiring HR professionals. At HR Star, we’re passionate about helping businesses put their people first, creating workplaces where employees feel valued and empowered.

“This award is a testament to the hard work of my team and the businesses we partner with, and I’m excited to continue driving positive change in the industry. Looking ahead to the rest of 2025, we’re thrilled about the opportunities to further our impact and work with even more organisations to make a difference.”

The HR Brilliance Awards celebrates excellence across the HR sector, recognising individuals, teams and organisations that drive innovation and positive change within the workplace.

It honours outstanding achievements in areas like employee engagement, leadership, and HR transformation. It also spotlights those making a lasting impact on people and business success.

Kelly’s entry scored 90 out of 100, earning her the ‘Gold Award’. Judges praised Kelly for her psychometric evaluations and tailored interventions, which led to a 20 per cent increase in engagement and reduced staff turnover.

The business, which looks to implement strategies that enhance employee wellness, improve retention and foster loyalty, will now look to celebrate its tenth anniversary later this year. Since 2015, it has worked with Forest of Dean businesses such as Vantage Point and Gillian Kenny Associates.
