THE FOREST Community Shed in Lydbrook is set to expand its facilities thanks to a community grant from the Forest of Dean District Council.
Councillors visited the shed to see how the funding will be used to enhance opportunities for local residents.
The shed, which provides a space for people of all ages to take part in creative and community projects, will use the grant to build an open-sided barn.
The new structure will feature bench seating and wildlife boxes, allowing members to work on projects while enjoying the outdoor surroundings.
The funding will also help cover staffing costs as the shed extends its opening hours. It is signed up to the Forest Lottery, where tickets cost £1, with proceeds supporting its work.
