THE FOREST of Dean District Council is appealing for information after a suspected fly-tip was found at the entrance to Cadora Woods, between Redbrook and Bigsweir.
The Street Warden Team believe the rubbish may have been left behind after a large party.
A spokesperson said: “We all have a duty of care to protect the incredible natural environment in the Forest of Dean. Please remember to dispose of your waste correctly. There is no excuse for fly-tipping.”
Photos of the scene have sparked speculation that the waste may have come from across the border, with residents pointing out the presence of purple recycling sacks previously issued by Monmouthshire County Council.
One commenter said: “That’s Monmouthshire recycling bags. Maybe have a word with Monmouthshire County Council.”
