TWO Rivers Housing has brought its repairs service back in house in a move aimed at improving services for its 4,600 tenants across the Forest of Dean and Gloucestershire.
The Gloucestershire-based housing association officially closed its facilities management company, Centigen FM, on Wednesday, April 2, following a full transfer of the team into the main organisation.
The change was marked at a launch event at its Rivers Meet office, where tenants, board members and staff welcomed the repairs team and celebrated the unveiling of the organisation’s new brand.
The fresh branding, which will feature on the repairs team’s vans, was developed in collaboration with tenants and staff. It reflects their renewed focus on listening to residents and staying at the heart of communities.
Chief Executive Hayley Selway said: “Ensuring our tenants have homes that they love living in is fundamental to our success. We will strive every day to ensure tenants living in a Two Rivers property feel that they are ‘Home Now’ and that our colleagues feel the same.
“Our new brand, co-created with tenants and colleagues, reflects what tenants told us is most important to them. It represents our promise to continue to listen and work with them to continue to improve our services and invest in our homes.”
The move to bring repairs back under the organisation’s direct control follows feedback from tenants and staff and is expected to simplify governance, reduce administration costs and deliver service improvements.
As part of the transfer, the association reviewed the repairs team’s terms and conditions, making several enhancements to align them with the wider organisation.
This development comes as the organisation continues its commitment to delivering affordable housing and improving energy efficiency.
Since pledging in 2018 to build 1,000 new affordable homes by 2028, it has delivered 687 and remains on track to meet its goal.
