FOLLOWING a last minute equaliser against Shortwood and a last gasp 1-0 win against Stonehouse on Bank Holiday, Newent Town came from behind to win on Saturday.
Calne Town, who dropped down from the Hellenic Premier at the end of last season were making their first ever visit to Wildsmith Meadow.
The Wiltshire side took the lead just before half time when their number nine calmly slotted the ball under the body of Newent keeper Kyran Edwards.
This was a deserved lead by a strong Calne team on the back of three wins in a row.
But back came Newent when a clever one-two passing move gave Jordan Cooper an opportunity which he took left footed into the corner to make it 1-1.
As the game was coming to an end, Newent piled on relentless pressure, with Calne now hanging on.
Saul Thomas pressed the defender who was tackled by Jordan Cooper.
Top Scorer Cooper then blasted the ball in at the near post from outside the box, another late winner and 6 points in a week for Newent.
