A WARM and muggy night saw 11 riders participating in Royal Dean Forest Cycling Club’s penultimate Lydbrook Time Trial on Tuesday July 18.
The road surface was less than favourable for the riders as they raced out to Walford and back. Despite this, some superb results were posted.
Fastest on the night was RDFCC’s Dave Bucknall, who posted an impressive time of 23.20.
He was followed closely by Ron Hussey of Severn Valley Cycles (23.28).
It was more impressive that only a few weeks before this both riders had completed the epic challenge of Everesting.
Third place was taken by Adam Taylor of RDFCC in 23.39 as just 39 seconds separated the top three.
A exceptional ride was also put in by race debutant Dave Thomas of RDFCC in 25.57.
