PREMIER League Club Southampton has made a bid for Cinderford youngster Luke Thomas.

The Cheltenham Town centre forward, who spent a trial with Benfica during the summer, has attracted interest from the Hampshire side.

Thomas said: “They’ve already put in a bid and if Cheltenham accepts it I’ll be buzzing. It will be a dream come true.”

16-year-old Luke, the brother of Cinderford Town’s Keiran, was in Portugal with the Cheltenham Town academy on tour and was spotted by scouts for the Portuguese powerhouse.
