ANDREW BEVAN hit an undefeated 112 off just 65 balls as Cinderford cruised to victory at Fairford in the Gloucestershire County League.
The Forest side set a target of 263 in the battle of the Division Three strugglers but Fairford were dismissed for 150 with 6.2 overs remaining.
Chloe Skelton did most of the damage with the ball, taking 3-30 off her eight overs but there were also two wickets each for Mark House, Mark Roberts and Josh Edwards with the other being claimed by Keith Smith.
Put into bat, Cinderford openers Simon Gwynne and Richard Bywater got off to a quick start with 27 runs coming over the first four overs including four boundaries for B ywater and one for Gwynne.
The pair went on to make 82 for the first wicket when Gwynne was caught by Matt Dyson off the bowling of John Watson with the penultimate ball of the 18th over. His 37 runs included six fours.
Bevan quickly declared his intentions with three fours off the first over he faced and he hit the boundary again in the following set of deliveries with Bywater adding a six.
But what could have been a useful partnership was ended when Bywater retired not out on 50 at the end of the 22nd over with Cinderford on 110.
Mark House introduced himself with a four off his first ball and two more runs from the over.
He and Bevan then added 49 off seven overs before an extraordinary 30th over which saw them add 29 runs from six deliveries made up of three sixes, a four and a single from Bevan and a six from House.
House was bowled two runs short of his half century midway through the 38th over and replacement Dan Kibble went the same way with the first ball of the next set for 251-3.
Bevan and Skelton added 20 runs in the last two overs with Bevan finishing with a flourish with a four and a six off the last couple of deliveries for 262-2.
Fairford got off to a powerful start with 13 runs coming from the first over but the breakthrough came in the middle of the fourth over when William Bowers was caught leg before for 10 by Keith Smith to make it 22-1.
The second man fell in the middle of the ninth over when House bowled Ed Miller for seven in a wicket maiden to make it 34-2.
There was a wait of 10 overs before Cinderford struck again and it was House who caught opener and top scorer Matt Dyson leg before for 39 as Fairford were pinned back at 83-3.
Skelton claimed her first wicket with the penultimate delivery of the 22nd over, bowling Harvey New for 13 to make it 89-4.
Fairford added 31 before a devastating double wicket maiden for Western Storm all-rounder Skelton.
Her first delivery of the 28th over saw Jon Welch caught by Bevan for 21 and 120-5 and she followed that up when she took the return from Tom Sealey with the fourth delivery to make it 120-6.
Bevan took his second catch to dismiss John Watson after Roberts had made the first delivery of the 29th and with the sixth ball, like Skelton, held a return to make it 124-8.
Bevan took his third catch in the middle of the next over off the bowling of Edwards to make it 129-9.
Edwards put Fairford out of their misery when he was on target with the fifth ball of the 34th over to leave the Cotswold side on 150.
