THE last flying Avro Vulcan bomber flew over the Wyeside village of Bishopswood in tribute to air ace Peter Williams.

The fly past on Saturday by the historic plane followed a memorial service in the village hall for popular former pilot Peter Williams.

His widow Linda wanted to celebrate his life and the fly past was specially arranged by his close friend and colleague Eddie Forrester.

The entire village was enthralled by the historic delta-wing V-bomber as it made a double swoop over Bishopswood on its way to Gloucester.
