THREE Choirs Vineyards, one of the oldest vineyards in the country and located in Newent, has recently celebrated success at the WineGB awards.

The vineyard achieved four medals for its distinguished wines. Among the accolades, Bacchus 2022 achieved a silver medal, while Siegerrebe, Classic Cuvee NV, and Blanc de Blanc 2019, each secured bronze.

The WineGB Awards are a major competition for Great Britain’s wines and wine producers. The 2024 judging took place in June, featuring a dedicated panel of judges including esteemed figures like Oz Clarke and Susie Barrie.

Winemaker, Martin Fowke said: “We were particularly pleased to receive a Silver for our Bacchus 22. It has matured and settled nicely in the bottle and is tasting well at the moment.”

“Our new Blanc de Blancs has only recently been released and will only get better so to have a stamp of approval at this early stage is encouraging.”

“Whilst it is nice to win top awards in these competitions it is as important for us to demonstrate the level of consistency and quality from our winery”.

This success will bolster the vineyard and the region's reputation within the wine industry.
