THE Prospects Academies Trust has withdrawn its sponsorship of the Dean Academy School in Lydney. The trust was founded in the summer of 2012 with the vision of establishing a family of primary, secondary and special academies. However, the trust released a statement this week saying it had found it difficult to provide the required support and services to its six academies, because of the geographical spread between them.
