THE PARENT Teacher Association at Primrose Hill School in Lydney is celebrating an impressive turnaround after nearly disbanding earlier this year.
Thanks to a group of committed parents who stepped in, the PTA is now not only active but preparing for a special Christmas Fayre on Friday, 29 November, an event that promises to bring the local community together and raise vital funds for the school.
Natasha Smith, a parent and one of the driving forces behind the revived association, shared: "When we returned to school this year, the PTA was in danger of folding. However, a group of mums and dads, including myself, came together to continue its important work for the school community." Since then, the group has worked hard to organise events aimed at fundraising and enhancing the school environment.
The upcoming Christmas Fayre will feature a raffle generously supported by numerous local businesses. Natasha added: "We’re incredibly grateful to the local companies who have contributed prizes for our raffle. This event is a wonderful way for our community to come together, and we’re hoping to make it a memorable day for everyone involved."
The group invites the public to join the festivities on Friday, 29 November, and encourages all attendees to show their support, not only for the school but also for the local businesses that have contributed to the event’s success.
