POLICE have ‘taken their eye off the ball’ as certain motorists drive at ‘suicidal’ speeds along hazardous rural roads, claims the road safety campaigner.

And the cost of a road fatality has been estimated into the millions of pounds in a major survey for West Dean Parish Council into the need for speed cameras in Gloucestershire.
