WHITECROSS School has a rich reputation for producing good sportsmen and women and the conveyor belt shows no signs of letting up.
On Friday night the school held its sports awards ceremony, which was attended by Paralympian Richard Whitehead and Commonwealth bronze medal winner Georgina Geikie.
Richard, a double amputee below the knee, runs sprints and marathons using blade prosthetics. He is the face of the Paralympics and is currently being followed by a Channel Four film crew for their Paralympics coverage.
Georgina is Britain's number one female pistol shooter. She is on course to represent GB at the 2012 Olympics.
Students at Whitecross were able to talk to Richard and Georgina for inspiration, as well as have their photographs taken with the Beijing Paralympic Torch.
