A 31-year-old Minsterworth man caught with a bald tyre on his Ford Ranger has been ordered to pay £706 in fines, costs and surcharges.

Cheltenham magistrates also imposed three penalty points on Mitchell Thomas’ driving licence.

The court found that on May 10 in Coney Hill Road, Gloucester, the vehicle had the ply or cord of the front offside wheel exposed. 

Magistrates also found that Thomas, of Hygrove Lane, had no test certificate for the vehicle but imposed no separate penalty.
