A LOCAL dog needs urgent surgery, and Healing Paws Dog Rescue has launched a fundraiser to cover the costs.

Lola is believed to have been used for breeding, as she shows signs of having had puppies. She also suffers from Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS), a condition that causes severe breathing difficulties common in certain dog breeds.

The rescue has scheduled surgery for Friday, April 25 which will help alleviate the impact of the condition and improve Lola's quality of life.

In addition to BOAS, Lola also faces other health issues, including missing teeth, eye scarring from untreated ulcers, and chronic ear infections.

The rescue is asking for further donations to meet the surgery costs. Donations can be made through the fundraiser link provided by Healing Paws.
