A MAJOR blueprint about the Forest of Dean’s future over the next four years is to be unveiled tomorrow evening.
A brand new Corporate Plan has been drawn up and has five main focus areas which has been developed over the last two months by district councillors and officers.
Members of the council’s Strategic Overview and Scrutiny committee will get a first say on the document in draft form before others are encouraged to comment this month. It is finalised by the authority’s full meeting in October.
The Plan, which is being presented by leader Cllr Tim Gwilliam tomorrow, focuses on addressing the climate emergency, improving community well-being, providing affordable homes, developing a vibrant economy and getting financial sustabinablity.
That is all to be delivered under a slogan saying: “Our vision is for the Forest of Dean to be a great place to live, learn, do business and enjoy.”
