Forest of Dean Palestinian Solidarity will be hosting an evening of music to raise funds for Gloucester 2 Gaza.
This charity provide hot food for refugees via CookedFoodGaza.
There will be a variety of music genres played ranging from folk to African to jazz on Saturday, March 30 at 7:30pm at Newnham Club.
The evening will include songs of love, passion and resistance from internationally renowned jazz singer Maggie Nicols duetting with Loose Tubes flautist and keyboardist Eddie Parker, exciting 6 piece band from Wales, AfroWelsh Connection, featuring compelling West African rhythms centring around the beautiful kora playing of Bunja Conteh. Also, from Forest of Dean beats driven ALT-folk group The Long View, a mixture of original and well known songs from Joni Mitchell to Portishead! There will also be speakers from Gloucester Palestine Solidarity Group and readings of Palestinian poetry.
Everyone is invited to go along to enjoy the music and contribute in helping refugees from Gaza.
