TWO Forest of Dean farmers have been issued with enforcement notices after destroying local meadows.
Both farmers in Upleadon and Hartpury have been warned to stop any further changes and restore the land back to the way it was.
Last week, Forest planners were shown photographs of ‘unlawful’ activities on their land with earth moving vehicles creating mounds of earth five metres high at one farm.
District councillors were shown photographs of where an ancient meadow had been removed up and replaced with a hardstanding.
The enforcement notices requires the owners of Carswalls Farm, Tewkesbury Road, Upleadon and the land north of Danford Lane, Hartpury to restore the fields back to agricultural land.
