The very first FOD Fringe Festival is taking place throughout March across the Forest of Dean district. Supported by Wyldwood Arts, the festival includes performances, exhibitions, experiences, walks, talks, gatherings and happenings - created and curated by and for the people of the Forest of Dean.

Wyldwood is very proud to have supported some brilliant projects and events in the festival as well as providing promotional support to events that were already happening. We’ve also been able to include some special performances from visiting national companies thanks to our partners at Artspace Cinderford and Air in G (rural touring scheme)

Among the events left to run The Farmer and the Clown staged by Flibbertigibbet Theatre and Fowl Play a devised piece by Found in the Forest Youth Theatre which tells a story of the river Wye and how certain aspects of agriculture can impact water quality.

In the small town, the serene flow of the Wye has always been a lifeline for the community. However, the town's idyllic charm is threatened when chicken farms set up on its outskirts. As the farm grows, so does the concern among the townspeople about the potential consequences on their beloved river.

The festival runs until March 30, details of all the remaining events can be found at https://www.wyldwoodarts.co.uk/fodfringe Contact Wyldwood for more details [email protected]
