THE SITE of a proposed eco-village ‘the size of Lydney’ in the Forest of Dean was under water on Monday and could take weeks to drain away, a district councillor has said.

Residents from Westbury-on-Severn and the surrounding areas packed into village hall on Monday to voice their opinion to the project to the Forest of Dean District Council’s chief planning officer Mr Nigel Gibbons.

The scheme came to the attention of Westbury-on-Severn Parish Council last month.
