A MASSIVE eco village, which it has been claimed will be the size of Lydney, has been outlined for land around Westbury-on-Severn and Huntley.

Plans for the village would see it self-contained with a school, business park, solar park and a new railway station at Grange Court and have between 4,500 and 5,000 houses built.

But the idea has brought a huge amount of criticism from people living nearby, with a public meeting arranged for Monday February 17 at Westbury-on-Severn Village Hall with Nigel Gibbons, one of the Forest Council’s senior planning officers, invited to attend.
