AN arts charity in the Forest is on the hunt for new members and trustees after receiving a significant funding award.

Cinderford Artspace is appealing to those interested in the arts to get in touch about becoming involved with the charity.

It comes after they secured a £150,000 grant from Arts Council England last month to support their work providing creative courses and projects for people of all ages and abilities.

They are inviting people to attend their annual gathering on Friday (December 2) to find out more.

A spokesperson said: “We have been eagerly awaiting the outcome of our application to Arts Council England and are absolutely delighted that we’ve been successful in securing National Portfolio Organisation status for the period 2023-2026.

“Support from the Arts Council is key to the charity’s survival and contributes towards our running costs, enabling us to forge ahead with our plans to bring high quality and affordable creativity to people of any age or ability in the Forest of Dean.

“We would love to invite people to help us celebrate and to find out more about what we offer, by joining us for our AGM and Annual Gathering on Friday 2nd December 2022, 6.45-9pm, 3 Woodside Street, Cinderford, GL142NL.

“This year, we have some extra special entertainment in store including performances and exhibitions of artwork made by people who attend our courses.

“We are also looking for new members and Trustees, if you are interested in the arts, it’s a great time to get on board.”
