THE FOREST of Dean Camera Club’s stunning photographs are now back on display at the newly relocated Tourist Information Centre in Coleford’s Mushet Walk.

Known for capturing the beauty and vibrancy of the region, the club has long provided a visual treat for visitors, with images of local events, landmarks, and wildlife.

The move to the new premises had temporarily paused the longstanding tradition of showcasing local scenes and events, but the display has now resumed with a fresh layout.

The new system, organised by office manager Michaela, replaces the old display boards with a picture rail setup, allowing the photographs to be suspended and arranged in a way that is visible even from outside the office providing an inviting glimpse of what The Forest has to offer.

Alan Waterman, responsible for the Camera Club’s publicity, explained that the photos will change throughout the year to reflect upcoming events: “Right now, we’re featuring the Christmas lights, with the switch-on set for 30th November. After that, we’ll move to events like the Civil War reenactment, the vintage car festival, and other key highlights on the local calendar.”

The Tourist Information Centre is run by volunteers and provides support to both visitors and locals, offering advice on attractions, activities, and events across the region. The centre is a hub for anyone looking to explore or reconnect with the region.

With the revitalised photographic display, the Camera Club hopes to inspire more people to engage with the area’s vibrant community and the events that make The Forest unique.
