PUTTING up 79,000 solar panels on a field in Lydney could pose a flooding threat, according to the town council. The London-based applicant, AEE Renewables UK 32 Ltd, wants to install the panels, an access track and ancillary buildings at Nibley Farm, north of Lydney, off the A48. The solar panel site would produce around 17.4 million KWh a year - enough electricity to power 4,200 households.
