MOTORISTS are being advised that the emergency services are dealing with an incident on Bridge Street in Newent.

The collision happened at 9.30am this morning (Wednesday, February 19) near to the fire station and involved a lorry which was in collision with a Land Rover towing a trailer.

One driver is being assessed by paramedics while the other is mechanically trapped inside the vehicle. Work is ongoing to release him.

Bridge Street remains closed at this time.
