POLICE are appealing for information after a member of the public believed they saw a man being put into the boot of a car on the A48 this morning (Wednesday, August 10).
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in Blakeney on the A48 close to the Manchester House Bed and Breakfast at around 9.15am.
It follows a report from a passing motorist, who thinks they saw a man and a woman putting a man in a t-shirt into the boot of a dark coloured car.
The car is believed to be a five-door hatchback.
Gloucestershire Constabulary says that urgent enquiries have been ongoing this morning, but the man has not yet been identified or found.
Detectives are now appealing to the public to try and establish what was taking place.
They are particularly keen to speak to the drivers of a white van and a white car, which were believed to have also been passing at the time.
Officers also want to hear from any other motorists who were travelling through Blakeney on the A48 this morning.
Anybody with information is asked to contact the constabulary online at www.gloucestershire.police.uk/contact/af/contact-us/us/a-crime-that-has-already-been-reported, quoting incident 149 of August 10, or by calling 101.
