RESIDENTS are being asked to share their views on a proposed Public Space Protection Order for Steam Mills Lake in Cinderford following concerns over rising anti-social behaviour in the area.

The Forest of Dean District Council has highlighted issues including people swimming in the lake, confrontations with anglers and visitors, as well as reports of damage and littering.

In response, the council is working with Forestry England and other partners to explore introducing a PSPO to help curb the problems.

If approved, the order would ban swimming, boating, barbecues, and fires, create an alcohol-controlled zone, and allow action against loud music causing a disturbance.

The council is inviting public feedback on the proposal, with the consultation open until Sunday, March 16.
