PLANS have been submitted to upgrade a telecommunications mast to provide 5G in the Forest of Dean.
The Spanish firm, which has up to 53,000 sites throughout Europe, has submitted their plans to the Forest of Dean District Council.
These include the installation of a GPS module, two 5G antennas and two 12-port antennas.
And the scheme also includes the removal of two six-port antennas and will use the existing cable management.
The Forest of Dean has struggled with patchy mobile coverage and councillors have in the past called for roaming rights to be applied to the area to correct the issue.
The council is expected to consider the proposals for Tidenham Chase by August 30, 2022.
